The UB patch has been released from macsoft. You can order a new disc or download the Universal Application from macsoft for a fee of $5.00.

I am still trying to get the thing to work it is somewhat complicated. I've had to email macsoft a lot with issues. Has anyone downloaded it and gotten it to work?

Has anyone tried this on a mini yet? From what I have read they are also going to release the UB version at retail, and I'll surely grab it if it has even moderate performance on the mini.

Just bought Halo and downloaded the patch on Monday the 4th (Labor Day). Laughing Anyway, installed Halo on my Mini (CORE SOLO) and it runs GREAT Very Happy It didn't take anything special to work. Just download the patch, burn it to a CD using Apple disk utility, and install off the CD. unfortunatly, you have to play with the CD in the drive, but that doesn't bother me.

If you want to buy Halo UB, just go ahead and buy the non-UB and get the patch. The game rocks on a Mini solo, so it should be really good on a Duo, and the patch only took about 30 minutes to download with DSL.

What kind of settings are you running at?

I am pretty sure the base settings, I havn't changed anything on the menu that pops up about settings when you start the game.

You should run the timedemo, I'd really like to see the UB results versus the PPC results all the early mini reviews were showing.

It really, on my solo with a gig, doesn't run nas well as I hoped it would. I don't think its very good build for macintosh to begin with, I mean COD 2 ran great on my machine even when I bumped up the settings, this game doesn't do well at all.
