|
|
Thought I'd pass this along. I have the Mac Mini and I recently went out and purchase the MiniMate hard drive which I love as well. Problem was the stand I purchased did not work anymore. (I needed a stand to protect my mini so the cat wouldn't try and sit on it.)
So I picked this stand up at Staples and it works great. Both the Mini and MiniMate fit right in underneath when they are seated next to each other. Plus the stand is somewhat stylish since it matched my monitor.

That looks pretty functional... and the price is certainly right.
I might have to consider one of those... |

It's probably a better idea to have them side-by-side. The bottom of my Mac mini gets really hot when the Minimate is on for more than a 1/2 hour. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I broke down and ordered one. It ought to clean up my desk a little. Things are getting a little cluttered on my desk with all these toys I keep hooking up to the Mini.
Thanks for the pointer, DellApple! |

Your welcome - I hope you like it. For the price; it's made pretty well. I bought another one for my living roon where the PC is and I have a monitor on top of it and paper under it for the printer. |

| It looks good. I wonder if there are rubber pads on the bottom to keep it from sliding? The metal bars may slide around if your monitor is lightweight. |

Not to worry - It's very stable. I have one of those stands that I used for my Dell Desktop with a lightweight monitor and it does not move. You cold hit someone in the head with this stand and do some damage. |

I just bought one of these from Staples. It is well worth the money. I have my 17 inch Samsung on it and the Mac Mini and a Firewire drive side by side under it. It does have four small pads on the bottom that makes it really stable. It is very heavy for its size. I could probably put my iMac G3 computer on it with no problems. Oh, and it looks nice also.

I just submitted a quick and dirty pic of my setup with the Allsop stand,
Bandit Bill. I'm not sure how long it will take for them to add it, but it'll show up eventually. |

Cool. I look forward to seeing it. I hope you kept them cables tidy or you'll loose a star or two on your rating. I was already eyeballing how to run the cables nice and neat. It would look pretty trick if you could fish your cables through the tubular frame.
I'm surprised the stand can hold up to 40 lbs.
Dell Apple: It's good to know you could do some damage with it. Might come in handy to fend off drooling PC owners. |

Very funny!!! I go both ways - (That is; in the computer world) I drool over macs and pcs. Love 'em both.
Although if I had to choose one - It would be Mac hands down. |
