So, after five years, its time to replace my Powerbook battery for the first time. I usually like to replace batteries like this with an original OEM battery. But, I've been reading reviews on Apples site that the life on these batteries is not great. I've used my Powerbook mostly in closed book mode without the battery so I got mine to last a while longer than most. I've also seen some aftermarket batteries that claim to last a lot longer than original batteries, but I am a bit hesitant to use an aftermarket battery.
Am I better off going with an original battery even if it doesn't last as long. Or should I be ok with an aftermarket battery, as long as it is from a reputable manufacturer?
This is for a Titanium Powerbook G4. |

OWC offers a replacement battery, but I haven't tried it. I'm interested in this question too, as I also own a Ti Powerbook.
