The Apple Bluetooth keyboard; no wires is a must for the sexy mac mini complement. And, the Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 (available at Costco for $30). It is more responsive than 5 other mice I've tried. Too much latency in some, too much scroll madness in others.
Good luck |

I'm currently using a Logitech Elite keyboard. I like the tilt of the keyboard and the shape of the keys, especially the space bar. The multimedia buttons are great for volume control and launching iTunes. It's also a great gaming keyboard and you don't have t worry about wireless latency.

I'm using a tiny silver keyboard that's basically a notebook pc keyboard. It takes up very little desktop space, and since I spend so much time typing on notebooks at work, it's actually easier than adjusting to a standard keyboard all the time. The tiny size goes well with the Mini. It's a Lite-On SK-6715, although apparently it's been replaced, since I can't find anyone that carries them anymore.
For a mouse, I just picked up a Logitech MX-1000. Great mouse. It's the first cordless mouse I've tried that doesn't irritate me. |

I had a Logitech cordless mouse about two years ago and the battery life was horrible. The batteries would last maybe 2-3 weeks tops…so I went back to the old mouse and chain. I was thinking about picking up a newer model and giving it another try. How's your battery life? |

The MX-1000 uses a built-in rechargeable battery. No batteries to buy or change. There's an LED meter right on the mouse to tell you how much charge is remaining. I've used it for nearly 8 hours straight, and had somewhere between 1/3 and 2/3s of a charge left.
When it's low, or when you're done, just pop it in the cradle (that also serves as the receiver for the wireless signal) and it charges back up. |

| I have a mx700 wireless and battery life is impressive. I drop it on the charger ounce a week over night. Rarely do I run out of battery. Usually i run out cuz i forgot to charge it when the light came on. |

If you are looking for the "BEST" keyboard...
I would say the Matias Tactile pro. (Looks like Apples) $80US smalldog.com
It's mechanical so it makes clicking noises when you use it.
It comes with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and 5 year warranty.
Kensington also offers a similar keyboard made by the same manufacturer.
If you want something very small with full sized keys look at Happy Hacking Keyboard Lite 2 ($69US)
If you want small with mechanical switches Happy Hacking Pro ($259US)
If you don't want to spend this much money stick with the Apple keyboard. |
