Are you able to upgrade the IMAC much like the MAC MINI... Ie, can you, as a user, upgrade the memory and drives or is the only path through Apple order

Thememory is really easy to upgrade. The slot can be accessed at the bottom of the iMac without opening the machine. The processor and hard drive are going to be a lot harder to access. It can be done though.

I haven't visited an IMAC yet so don't know how one comes apart but if it's anything like the Mini then I could probably tackle it. Can I assume the processor is plugged rather than soldered?
