let me explain if you use a upgrade edition of windows xp home edition with service pack 1 and you then try to run the service pack 2 instaaller the service pack 2 installer will crash it says cannot install to many unknown partitions

now your thinking so what this isn't a bad thing

wrong the driver cd that comes with boot camp beta requires service pack 2 or it will get to the end of the installation for the driver disk and crash and give you the error illegal code section 3x00 ex00 cannot extract final.ada

My server has been undergoing maintenance recently, try again. It usually comes back within 5 minutes or so, you just have to clear your browser's cache Cool

Yup, SP2 is required. My tutorial specifically says to use an XP disc with SP2 on it already. If you have a pre-SP2 disc (SP1 or the original release), you can simply slipstream the SP2 update in. Google "slipstream XP sp2" and you'll get plenty of results Wink
