Hubbell offers new mounts for Mac mini
Wednesday, May 17, 2006
Hubbell has updated its line of mounts for the Mac mini. The original Mini mount and Mini mount Universal are now combined into a single design of the Mini mount 2 (pictured below). The Mini mount 2 features curved arms and a wider base to firmly grip your Mac mini no matter what orientation you put it in. The new styling also features a rounded edge all the way around the mount, and cable management system that acts as a standoff from the mounting surface.
Hubbell also announced its new Mini mount Shelf 2. According to the company, "We've taken from the design of the Mini Mount 2 and changed a few things around to give you a stable, secure surface that attaches to the underside of just about any horizontal surface. Tables, shelves, desks, even the occasional Mac-mini-in-a-car project." The Mini mount Shelf 2 features mounting arms that bend inward and require less horizontal clearance. In addition, the arms start in the rear and curve forward balancing the Mac mini and give it the appearance of "floating" under the desk surface.
Both mounts are priced $49.99 and available in black, white, or clear.

The black shelf mount would look pretty cool with my setup and the design is cool, but at $50 I'm going to pass. Something like this should cost around $30 tops. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I want to mount my mini to the side of a desk and this seems to be the only option.
But $50 for some plastic? wow _________________ Mac Mini 1.42Ghz/512MB, 80GB HD, (the 'middle' one)
