This is great. I especially like the back-up button which I haven't been able to find with other external drives for Mac. As a videographer, having external drives are essential. I too like the smallness of the mini, but adding an external drive under the MacMini is not too bad for me.
BTW, is their a U.S. distributor for these drives? |

ADS Tech has one for 59.95 that has a back-up button. You will need to supply the drive with this model.

It's USB. Who the heck cares what it has if it's not firewire? |

Ah, it's updated. So that switch on the back switches between "auto" and "1394". |

Yep! The only negative I see with the M9 is that it's made out of plastic. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Well, we won't know until someone has one whether the thing runs cool enough to use under the mini. |

You are correct. We need to see how the M9 performs in living color. I was merely talking about the M9's specs. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Okay, I need to follow this thread. Is there a way I can get an email notice for updates.
I'm looking to purchase another external HD for my video work, and so I'm interested in the M9. Anyone purchased it yet? Feedback? |

If you look way down in the left hand corner of the page you will see "Watch this topic for replies" click on that and you are all set.

I am also interested in this M9 but it has not shipped yet. Supposedly it will be available next month but there is a rumor that this is Vaporware and will never make it to market! I hope that that isn't true because I really think this is the ticket for me. So I will be watching, waiting and hoping for it to show up on my door step!!! _________________ 13' Macbook 2.0ghz C2D w/2gb RAM and 120gb HD
