Here's a good place to help you....

Once you download the updater, I know it Panther, the updater is installed to the Utilities folder. I haven't tried updating my iPod since I installed Tiger.
Good luck! _________________ Mac Mini 1.42GHz

Thanks for the link spoonman!
Unfortunately it was not in the Utilities Folder . I went and downloaded it from Apple and set up my own folder. I'm 95% sure when I ran software update the other week it was on the list. Maybe when I installed Tiger it messed it up. |

Did you do a Spotlight search for it? Mine shows that it is in the Applications/Utilities/iPod Software Updater.
Search tools are great! _________________ 13' Macbook 2.0ghz C2D w/2gb RAM and 120gb HD

I tried Spotlight and nothing came up. Now I'm paranoid that other stuff is missing. Maybe I should have done a clean install with Tiger. |

Glad I could help.... must have just been one of those little "bugs". I know when I do an OS upgrade on my macs, my favorite option is the "Archive and Install". This gets you a clean OS install AND you get to keep all you settings and documents.
