|
|
I just purchased a new MacMini (Intel) and a 320GB external hard drive (both Firewire and USB 2.0). Do to the fact that the MacMini has a small hard drive, I would like to boot Windows XP (SP2) off of the external firewire/USB 2.0 hard drive.
I also want to keep my iTunes library stored on the external hard drive, so I will need to partition the hard drive so it can include both the windows drivers and data for iTunes/Back-up.
How can I boot Windows off an external hard drive and how can I partition the drive to keep other data on the drive as well.
Thank you! |

| There was a hack posted somewhere, but Windows, at this point, was not designed to boot from an external drive. I loaded OSx on the external, then formatted the internal drive and loded Windows only. The external will boot faster than the internal, so put your preferred OS on the external. Since you are posting here, my guess is that the Mac OS is preferred. |
