Speakers are a must. I have an older set of Altec Lansing speaker that work great with my Mini. Not the most stylish but they sound great!

I bought those speakers 2.1 few months ago, (Jazz Speakers JS-8902). After a quick search, this model doesn't seem to be available in North America
Sound is quite good. Looking is good as well even if the subwoofer is more calling up an UFO spaceship. Price range from 43 € to 55 €, in Europe.
More details right here |

I agree with LouieMacGoo, Altec Lansing has some of the best sounding speakers out there right now for the money. Check out Logitech as well. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Well, that's up for debate. It all depends on what you use the mini for.
My kids get along quite well with only the internal speaker...of course they mainly do school work and educational software.
If you plan on listening to music or gaming, yeah you are going to need some external speakers. _________________ -=iMav=-

The sound out on the Mac Mini is pretty weak. I've always liked the look of the Apple Pro Speakers. Picked up a pair on eBay and added a Griffin Ifire to power them. They sound great. When I need the big bass I run the sound out to my stereo receiver. _________________ 20th Century Collectibles at http://www.findgreatstuff.com |
