Hey Guys,
According to Apple, I need to use XP SP2. Unfortunately I have access to Windows SP1. Do you think it will work? |

Probably not...as Apple's requirement states specific versions of Windows XP SP2.
You could try it, but it could end up being a lot of work for nothing. _________________ MBP 2.4 C2D; 4GB

Search this forum; I'm pretty sure that one of the postings noted a way you can make an SP2 disk from an SP1 by "slipstreaming". _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

It, unfortunately, does not work. I tried this and its very frusterating because the install works, but the driver disc does not. Slipstreaming is not a viable option for mac users who do not have immediate access to a pc because it most definately requires a pc cd burning program to do so. It is quite complicated, but I think you can download something which does all the command line stuff for you.
If you can get ahold of a friends pc, or one of your own, i suggest doing some research on it, there are some step-by-step websites that show you how to do this. If you want a link I could post it, but i think if you google it or look around in this forum you can find a link.
eventually, i just went to my college and got an sp2 disc, because were part of an acedemic alliance that allows us to get it for free. if youre in college that might be a possibility as well
