I was hoping someone would come out with a TV tuner that matched the Mac mini. I'm not that crazy about the big logo on the front, but it has all the features I want. Now, where can I buy one? Question

Why would anyone invest in SDTV these days, especially for a computer and a display capable of at least 720p ATSC?

I might hold off on buying the EyeTV 250 and look into this one some more. I sort of like the idea of being able to connect straight into the box and not having to use the EyeTV 250's break-out cable. I've had bad luck with break-out cables in the past. That being said, I still like the looks and size of the EyeTV 250 better.

Is there any device out there that's compatible with digital cable? And if there is, I'm betting there's many digital cable standards....

So far my Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 is nice, but it'd be better if it could connect to a USB drive or something...

Just my luck! I've wanted a solution like this for a long time that would stack underneath my Mac mini. I finally gave up and ordered the Elgato EyeTV 250 on Monday from the Apple Store. If the EyeTV 250 lets me down, I will return it and order this one.

Could they be any less descriptive about the antenna connection? Does it come with a standard North American screw in "F" type connector or do I find out that I have to make a trip to radio shack to pick up a Euro flat type to North American RF adapter? God forbid they mentioned that. Oh wait, i forgot: me, you and everyone else are complete idiots who would not understand how to read a thorough tech spec sheet. Thanks team Miglia for dumbing it down for us all. Well, if it does come with a euro flat rf connector, I will just call Miglia tech support and ask them why my F connector wont screw on to the unthreaded connector, like a good stupid customer.

I mean, if you are not going to spell it out, then at least take better pics of the rear of that thing... and close up, not from 200ft away. Speaking of which, I have yet to find a pic of the back of the EyeTV 250... that is like the biggest mystery of all time. Its like if Elgato were to present an actual picture of the back, it might suddenly trigger the apocalypse or something... as if Elgato is doing mankind a big favor by not showing any pics of the rear. Ok, fine... they want to play that game, so will I... I wont buy it then. TAKE THAT, Elgato! Honestly... I think we all have a right to know what we are buying, not some vague idea of what it might be, and just hoping that it meets our requirements.

Also, it is hard to believe that Team Miglia couldnt fit the power supply in the mini footprint sized case. Just what I need, another brick laying around. Oh wait, Im supposed to like Bricks laying around... sorry.

I find the eyeTV 250 decent enough for viewing. I hope that this new turner has better picture quality.
