| Link? I don't think extreme cards are compatible with older machines like the G3 iBook are they? You should be able to find a compatibility list on Apple's site somewhere, or if not, then at lowendmac.com |

You need the original Airport Card (APPLE AIRPORT CARD M7600LL/E). Apple no longer makes these. I'm pretty sure the last time I looked on apple's refurbished list they only had the newer G4 and newer compatible (or Extreme) cards.
Instead of hotlinking someone's picture, I'll link here, but I have no idea if they're a reputable dealer: http://www.memorysolutions.com/usorapaicave.html but there's a picture there so you can see the difference, and have an idea of what to look for.
I have an iBook G3 600 and the one in that picture is exactly what I bought to put in my book, but I got mine on ebay. _________________ 1.5GHz PPC G4 Mini OS X 10.4.6

| If I recall correctly Apple, in the midst of a genius marketing plan, pulled the original Airport card prior to releasing the iBook G4. Ths crazy demand for the original Airport card has continued ever since. |

Yeah, I saw the prices for old airport cards, and have been trying to finagle an Airport Express to talk to my D-link wireless for my wife's old iMac G4 flat panel.
I can get the AXP to see the D-link and vice versa, or I can get the iMac to talk to the AXP, but not at the same time. Some have done this with the ubiquitous Linksys WRT54G, but not with the D-link DLG 1300 I have. Thought I'd give it a try because the AXP is only $120 compared to $160-180 online for the old airport card. |
