Isn't that where the UFO landed?
I've never heard of that brand before but that's a great price and it does have a lifetime warrany. Might be worth a look! _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Very brave! Those jumpers are so small. |
yeah, I had planned on removing the two resistors from my 1.25 and just going to 1.5GHz. Well, I wussed out. I bought the thing as a gift for a family member who is having a hell of a time with an old DV iMac G3 that is flaky as hell. I want this thing to be stable as possible and under warranty for her.
I was all et to lap the heatsink, use Arctic Ceramique and OC the board. Well, I'm a little girlie's blouse, as it turns out. I just popped the memory in and closed it up again. I'm still waiting for my testes to drop, apparently.

Good for you. Have you noticed any stability problems at 1.5? |

Nope. I only rebooted once (to install Tiger) and no problems at all. Ive ran XBench several times with no lock ups or anything. No overheating that I can tell and programs launch much faster. Heck everything in general is faster. Throw in the overclocked graphics and I have a pretty capable machine. _________________ 1st Generation Mac Mini 1.5/512/40gig/Superdrive/Tiger |

| My score is 118.11 out of the box with a 1.42Ghz, 512MB, 80GB mini running Tiger. The scores with 7,200 RPM drives are up in the 130's, so that will probably be my first mod down the road. |

Overclocking the mini seems like a lot of risk for little gain. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Colt what was your first score? Your present overall score shows 128.32, Most people running a 1.42Ghz with 512 seem to be around 116-120. Someone above said 118.11 I found this as another example...

Are you talking about a 20% from 256MB? I'm not doubting you, I just want to learn more. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini
