Good deal for some.
I would have no hesitation purchasing refurbished products. Most of them have only had minor issues (which have been repaired), or no issue at all (eg. someone takes one back to Best Buy or Costco).
You probably have a better chance of getting a properly working refurb than an original because it has went through user testing and and additional series of testing once it went back to Apple. |

| Maybe if the Discount were 20% but for 13% I'd prefer to buy new. |

The odd one appears occasionally in the UK refurb store you really have to check daily as they move fast. |

Any chance of seeing some $499 Core Solo refurbs soon? It's a shame Apple dropped a $500 model from the Mac mini line. |

I don't think so. The prices for refurbished Apple products in the education store are the same as the regular store. |

Core Duo arrived yesterday. Here's the shocking part - it had 1gb of RAM instead of the 512 that it said would be in it!
Couldn't believe it. I've bought several refurb items from Apple in the past. First time I ever got more than I asked for. |

It get's better - I was obviously not paying attention - yesterday I noticed the the hard drive was also a 100gb not the 80 that I expected. Yikes! |
