Add a second display to your Mac mini
Wednesday May 11, 2005
TRITTON Technologies is working on having a Mac compatible version of their SEE2 USB 2.0 SVGA Adapter by the end of July. The SEE2 adapter allows you to add a second display through your USB 2.0 port. Mac and Mac mini owners will be able to extend and or mirror their desktop with the adapter. "Extend your desktop across both displays allowing you to increase your productivity like never before. While reading email on one display, open attachments on the other display. Expand spread sheets across both monitors, in graphics programs increase your working area by putting all your pallets on the second display." SEE2 is powered through the USB cable and requires no additional power supply. Currently the SEE2 supports up to 1280 x 1024 8, 16 Bits resolution on the PC. At this time, we have no information on what resolutions will be supported on the Mac. TRITTON will keep us informed of any updates or changes as more information becomes available.

I have dual displays on my old "beige G4*" and I do enloy the extended desktop for workflow and other things. I was really hoping that someone would come up with something like this for the Mini!
* beige G4 is an old beige G3/266 that I have upgraded with a G4/500 processor,3 maxtor hard drives =160gb, 768mg RAM, a Radeon 7000 Video card, CD/RW drive and a USB/Firewire PCI card. It cost me about $500 with all the upgrades. |

| I wonder if this device will allow Powerbook users to have a 3 monitor setup using the Powerbook display, the built in connector and this device. I hope it will. |

For Roaming Teaching and other use with the Mac mini for a duel projection and monitor connection this to me at face value for about (US$80) is a brilliant solution, and I will be waiting for the first review of it actually being used.

Hi pogo,
Roaming and teaching are two things I do with my Mac mini's.
Auzzie's do a lot of roaming. I carry a simplified kit depending on which teaching format I have or if it is the research visit to Uni.
Roaming + teaching tests + Mac mini.
