Tynara.com is the new wave of community & support. To that end, we will be offering support on just about every topic imaginable. We will be working together with business leaders to create free link exchanges, working with the general public to ensure that this site remains free & still contain all the information a pay-for-knowledge site may have.
The reason I am posting this here for review is to hopefully extend a helping hand to other communities so that we may all be better in the end. I'm working to create a large network of support sites & would be happy to hear any response from you here.

[Please note: this is an honest request to see if support can be had at our general support community. Please do not regard this as spam as I'm making an honest attempt to see if I can get any support staff @ the site.] _________________ http://www.tynara.com

no suggestions eh? I know there has to be -something- I can do. I'm receiving ~107 unique page views / day and yet nothing.
I suppose I shouldn't be crying here or anything lol...just wondering if something should be changed? _________________ http://www.tynara.com

| It sounds like a good idea and the site looks good, but it seems like there are just too many topics. Maybe you should start with just a few topics and expand it from there. Just my two cents. |

| I think the site looks terrible and your homepage doesn't even say what your site is about. It's one of the worst ideas and web pages I have ever seen. |

really?
What do I need to add? I have the fact that we are a general support community? I have added the fact we are looking for paid staff to help us before we start our advertising campaign?
We have divisions of the site so certain individuals can better support certain areas...what more could/should I add? _________________ http://www.tynara.com

Instead of having the latest posts on top of the front page, maybe a short list of the popular topics.
User a bigger more easier to read font, but equally elaborate.
All the info on the front page should be under a About US link on the left hand side. Just put a summary of what the site is about on the front page.
Put site news on the front page and/or breaking news.
Leave the latest forum posts (that's on the left) on the left like it is.
Add more color to the site, either make boxes of a different color (like this topic box), but do something different than the usual grey.
I'd say redo the websites name (logo) in the top left-hand corner. To something that is more easily readable. And make it a clickable link to the home page (like clicking 123Macmini in the top left-hand corner). _________________

From your site:
To that end, we will be offering support on just about every topic imaginable.
Just my two cents, but I think you'd be better off focusing your attention on one or two topics, covering them comprehensively, attracting a community of users, and expanding from there.
There's no way you'll be able to offer useful info on "just about every topic imaginable." I think you need to start small and focused rather than large and superficial.

oh really?
Well, I do want to offer support on many different topics. How can I keep the community "updated" then for them to remember I want to continue adding additional support? _________________ http://www.tynara.com

No offense, but why wouldn't I just go to About.com instead? _________________ 1.5GHz PPC G4 Mini OS X 10.4.6
