Newbie, Recent Switcher, and new BootCamp user, here!
Anyway, I just installed BootCamp and XP, but for some odd reason, when I'm in XP, I get no Bluetooth reception and I installed the drivers twice!
Also when I try to access OSX, it seems to stay on this blue screen with a loading wheel FOREVER. Does it just take a really long time or did my OSX accidently get erased in the process? I didn't delete any partitions and they were partitioned properly, even though it took a LONG time, and I switched keyboards, WinXP and OSX disks a couple times, as I thought something was wrong. Is there actually something wrong or is it just me being impatient?
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated, thanks! |

Did you get a Bluetooth icon in the system tray after installing the Mac drivers? You probably just need to go into the Control Panel > Bluetooth Devices > Options > and turn discovery on. |

Thanks! I'll give that a try!
But as for my other MORE URGENT question. I'm still having trouble getting into OSX. Like I said, the partitioning was not smooth, (maybe due to my own error), and I can't seem to bring up OSX, even though it appears to have been done correctly.
The partitioning took FOREVER to get done, and I thought that there might have been something wrong, as it was stuck on the blue screen with the loading wheel. So I switched keyboards and slipped both my WinXP and OSX disks in, restarted by unplugging, thinking it might have crashed.
During the process I did get the bootup screen showing Mac HD as my only option, I clicked and it did nothing. I unplugged again, but it went back to the blue screen and then Windows Start-Up popped up, and I loaded it, as per the directions from Apple, and XP runs great and the partitions seem to have been done correctly. But, I CAN'T get into OSX or its just taking forever and I want to know how I can fix that, or do I have to wipe the hard drive and if so, how can I do that?
Thanks again for any help! |

Update!
I ended up taking my Mini to my local Apple experts and they got it all straightened out. I guess my problem was that I wasn't using my "hard-wired" USB keyboard from the beginning. Its now working great, although even after trying the suggestions here, I still get no Bluetooth reception on XP and I've got to juggle keyboards a bit. I don't know whether its my Mini or what, but it does seem to sensitive about your choice of keyboard. |
