I think I like them better than the icons from the previous version of Mail. Am I in love with them? No. _________________ Mac Mini 1.25 GHz, 512 MB Ram, Combo Drive

I don't mind the look of Mail.app.
What I mind dates back a lot longer that that. I was a NEXTSTEP admin and user for years. I just want OpenStep 5 on Apple hardware. I want the Classic NeXT view, services, Workspace manager, etc. Bring back -NXHost!
Let me NXHost my NeXT cube onto my Mini and PowerBook! hell, I'll buy a DP G5 if I can just do that!
OK, off the soapbox. Tiger is fine by me. I wish dashboard widgets weren't so insecure and didn't use their own Espose-type layer. Just let them interact on the root desktop like DAs used to. |

I find it laughable that Apple releases a much anticipated and over-hyped (not to mention over priced) "update" to its OS and the conversations about it degrade to whether or not we like the LOOK of its Mail app.
Let's face it, the only real upgrade was Spotlight. Dashboard is simply a lesser Konfabulator and most Mac mini users will never open, much less use, Automator. It's time that we as Mac users demand a little more from Cupertino before we shuck out $100 + for the next must-have "update". |

We as Mac users have alway demanded more! That's why Mac OS works so well and Winblows doesn't! |

Don't get me wrong, I love OSX and have been a loyal Mac user since System 7.5, but I think this whole "it's better than Windows" zeitgeist doesn't justify a $129 price tag for what we got. The upgrade from "Puma" to "Jaguar" was worth it, but the upgrade from "Panther" to "Tiger" wasn't.
Maybe I'm just cheap. |

I can see where you're coming from! $130 is step for a point release. I'm writing this using Tiger after dishing out $130.... _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

"The upgrade from "Puma" to "Jaguar" was worth it"
It was more of a technological advance. |
