Best....Spotlight
Worst....Mail 2
I'm surprised how well Tiger runs on the mini. As a matter of fact I think it runs better than Panther and how cool is RSS in Safari!. _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

| I won't know until I get my new mini. I installed a lot of RAM on my last one and someone bought it for more than I paid for it. So I bought a black one from colorwarePC.com and they are taking forever to get it here. Soon as it gets here, I'm going to install a lot of ram, then fire it up! |

Same here, Spotlight and Mail. I've never been a big RSS user/fan, but I'm really finding this integration of RSS into Safari to be quite useful. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

Spotlight sounds cool. I've been married to Thunderbird for e-mail and RSS for a LONG time, so I don't think I will be using Mail 2. Firefox is my browser of choice, so I don't believe I'll be using Safari either...
BTW, any chance Mail2 has some decent PGP functionality? _________________ -=iMav=-

I'm not sure about PGP I think you're going to become a quick fan of Safari RSS even though Thunderbird is a nice product. Any reasons for picking Firefox over Safari? _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

Cookie management.
Adblock extension
Flashblock extension
I'd really like to use Safari, but those three reason keep me on Firefox.
I use Thunderbird on linux, and I'm toying with giving it a try on OS X after seeing Mail 2.
But Spotlight gets my vote as best new feature. I just can't get over how cool it is. |

Gid rid of those ugly pill buttons in mail http://otierney.net/cagefighter/
I'm noticing a small problem with Spotlight and MP3 artwork. Are purchased songs from iTunes the only files that will show album art in Spotlight? _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

I'm having the same problem with album covers. Album artworks show up in iTunes but doesn't show up in Spotlight results. |

You know, I am just the opposite of the first post.
Best Feature: Mail 2
Worst Feature: Spotlight
Spotlight is great, except that even after repeated indexing, it still fails to find some of my files, and these files are word/excel docs in the document folder.
Apple Mail 2 is great. They got rid of that dang mail box drawer and made it all one box like every other email client. THey also have way better searching capabilities and I like the new look. Its also much faster and handles POP accounts better. Two thumbs up!
I also love dashboard even though its fluff. People are really starting to put out good widgets. Its way better than Konfabulator (which I paid for, BTW).
Tiger runs pretty fast on my Mac Mini. About the same as my iMac G5 at work except for games. _________________ Mac Mini 1.25 GHz, 512 MB Ram, Combo Drive

Best Feature: Mail 2 |
Mail 2 is much improved if you can get past those ugly pill buttons. I'm finding Spotlight to be useful but somewhat buggy and inconsistent. Dashboard is "Fluff " but it's turning out to be my favorite new thing. I cannot tell you how many times I've used the YellowPages and Dictionary widgets already!
Best: Dashboard…great fun and future promise.
Worse: Spotlight …overrated desktop search tool. |

Hmm, don't like the buttons in Mail 2, eh? Well, I guess the buttons are such that you either love em or hate em. _________________ Mac Mini 1.25 GHz, 512 MB Ram, Combo Drive
