Has anyone had an opportunity to run a program on an Intel Mac that written for OS X and also written for XP and compared the performance of each?
I know this doesn't entirely tell you if OS X or XP is quicker, but interesting anyhow.
It would be nice to see a Universal app vs. a XP app. |

Do you have one in mind? I can tell you that Photoshop runs nicely my Core Duo. Much faster than it does with Rosetta, but that was to be expected. Photoshop also runs a great deal faster than it ever did on my 1.42Ghz mini or Powerbook from work. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I was thinking Photoshop or World of Warcraft would be the best programs to compare. WOW is probably better because then we can start talking frame rates, settings etc. I've never played it, but it will work for this conversation. Plus when you buy that game don't you get both an OS X and XP version? Maybe not. |
