Hello all. I have the macmini intel duo with the eyetv 200. I'm in the process of getting the ministack v2. My question deals with the connection of eyetv 200. I've been told that eyetv 200 needs to be connected directly to the computer(in my case the macmini). Unfortunalty the mini has one firewire port. The review of the ministack v2 has the HD connect to the macmini via the firewire port. Before getting the macmini I used my PB G4 and had the eyetv 200 daisy chained to the PB thru an external Lacie HD. I had a number of problems with the eyetv software when it was not connected directly to my PB. Is anyone using eyetv 200 with an external HD drive(hopefully the ministack) with their mac mini? What is your setup? Any other suggestions? TIA.

You definately need to check this out but when I looked at the picture on the 200 product sheet it looks like there might be 2 firewire passthrough ports on the device. Maybe you could plug the 200 into the mini and then the extra harddrive into the 200?
Just something to look into.
Good luck! |

| I have a G4 Mini and had the EyeTV 200 plugged into the pass-thru port on my external hard drive and didn't have any problems. |
