Apple enabled XP on their computers. Is this what this world is coming to? I hope that the vast majority who use windows on their macs use it for corporate reasons. Mac OSX is obviously the better system. Hopefully people try that out and like it better! _________________ Andrew

Amen brother, I am with you!!!
Just remember when you use Windows OS, you need:
1) Nortion Utilities
2) Several Spyware programs
3) At least 2 anti spam programs
and most importantly 4) Be prepared to having to unload your software once a year, reformat your hard drive and load the Win OS and all other software to correct unknown problems.

Really? I have Norton Internet Security '06, Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D, but rarley get spyware led alone viruses. I also haven't had to reformat and install XP in well over a year. _________________ It's Gorzillra! Na, just my website...

I'm not going to sit here and damn Windows, there are some people that need the ability to run Windows for work purposes. However, the system does suck. I don't really care if you want to run your inferior operating system on your Mac, but I DON'T want to see anyone other than Mac users able to run MAC OSX on their PC's.

Why do you hope that the vast majority who use Windows on their mac use it for corporate reasons? I use both Windows and Mac, and I like them both. Each OS is good for certain things. |

I have had absolutely no protection software on my PC machine for the last three years. How many virus' etc have I got?
NONE
If your stupid enough to download things from suspiscious websites, and open strange attachmetns then you deserve a virus.
I also only reformat becuase I run out of HD space, not becuase windows slows down.
Nevertheless now that windows is official and all, I'll probably switch at end of year or when revision B comes out. I like the idea of a very portable computer hooked up to my 120cm tv. |

I agree....stay away from internet porn, P2P, and use some common sense and things will be just fine with XP.The only people I know that get viruses look at tons of porn on the internet, or they're trying to download software from places like limewire.
Having said that,I love OS X and don't even turn my windows box on any longer. |

I've done the same with my windows machines the past few years... no antivirus or anything - and no problems. You just have to be smart about it.
Also, I'm just thrilled that I'll be able to completely ditch my windows notebook when I get my Macbook Pro now. There are a few apps that I need to use for work that are windows only. _________________ Mac Mini - 1.25 GHz G4, 1GB PC3200, 40GB, Combo Drive

| My two daughters very much like windows - because they have less trouble to play those games on Windows. Even the games dedicated on MacOS X do usually not show the same performance as compared to the PC version on a Wintel machine. I am writing this on my G5 2x2 GHz dual at home - please keep this on your mind - while one of the little ones rather enjoys playing the PC. We do not allow them much PC time though, but Apples move to Intel offers perspectives of gaming on the Mac in the near future, making those noughty PCs obsolete at least at our home. I guess in the future Windows on a Mac will be just a temporary hipe except on business apps. |

I was trying to be funny and imply that Vista is a copy of Tiger.
