So, what does everyone think of the new mac? Idk..I think they shouldve brought the white acrylic-tyoe cube back with a bigger processor. Apparently this is the ultimate intel-switch computer. It has 2 dual core processors + one motorola dual g5 processor. Up to 4GB of ram too!

pretty sure that's an april fools joke. The picture is clearly a mac mini that's been photoshopped, and this is the only site that appears to have this story.
It's also a very odd computer. It's a Mac Mini that's neither small nor inexpensive. And both PPC and Intel processors when PPCs are essentially obsolete already? |

I didn't say I thought it was real. I think that if Apple brought in a bigger desktop model (other than powermac of course) it would be more of a cube type thing. I think they would try and make it similar to the imac, but with no screen. Same color, a little better specs, but around the same price. _________________ Andrew

O BTW..if Apple had introduced a new desktop, it would definately be on the Apple site by now, or at least a WHOLE lot of Apple related sites. _________________ Andrew

Maybe Apple is messing with our minds. First Steve plants the seed. Then... nothing.
Somethings got to give.
I bet Steve is smiling right now. |

I heard one rumor that he was working with the major movie studios to have a huge selection of downloadable movies from iTunes. However, yesterday the movie studios annonuced (yesterday) that they were going to use a different delivery model to offer downloadable movies (the prices are ridiculous at $20-30 per movie).
I wonder if this threw a wrench into Jobs potentially announcing something big like a new Video iPod? _________________ Vote for me, and your wildest dreams will come true.. - Pedro Sanchez, "Napoleon Dynamite" |

And the DRM is outrageous as well. That service is going nowhere, IMHO. But it may take a while for the studios to come around to see that the Apple business model really is the best one for their profitability.
What I don't get is how Movielink even is allowed to be in business in the first place. It's jointly owned by seven (?) movie studios. Sounds like collusion to me.

I think $10-12 would be a fair price for movies (as long as they are higher quality than the videos currently offered in the iTMS). Personally, I'd rather buy the DVD and rip it with Handbrake. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini
