They should clear up the documentation, but this isn't entirely ATI's fault.

Apple has an OEM branded 9200 card in the mini, meaning features are disabled, and the card is offered to Apple at a cheaper price. Unless Apple ponies up the bucks to purchase them, you won't have access to those panels.

This is also why the 124 firmware update is not available to the mini.

You are right, ATI's logic doesn't make sense because there isn't an after market video card for the mini. You know they can turn on those panels!

Actually, ATI dosnt really make cards at all. unlike Nvidia, who makes cards and chips, ATI usually relies on someone else t make the cards for them. So apple just integrated the 9200 GMU onto the motherboard. Same chip you would find on a Radeon 9200 card if you bought one.

This is why there is no firmware too, this is all housed in the macs firmware. Most likely to upgrade the video card firmware toy would have to upggrade the macs too.

That's what is so screwy about ATI Displays 4.5. They claim Mac mini support and at the same time state they don't support OEM cards.

ATI Displays 4.5.1 for Tiger now includes VERSAVISION in the Advanced Tab, however, Tiger includes built in screen rotation in System Preferences >Displays > Rotate.

When I rotate the screen with my Samsung 191T the mouse becomes erratic and choppy!
