How many people have added the SuperDrive option to their Mini? I am wondering if I need since I already have two machines with SuperDrives.

| Do you have a home network? If you have a home network and other Mac's with Superdrives can't you just share the files over the network. I just ordered the 1.25 with a Superdrive. All my other Mac's have combo drives and I want to start burning home movies to DVD. |

| I think if your going to order a Mini BTO you should get the SuperDrive. Down the road you'll want one! |

Now that iDVD allows for use of external burners, the SuperDrive is not a "must have" option.
Don't get me wrong: if you really need a DVD burner, and don't currently have one, having the SuperDrive makes some sense. But I prefer external drives for a lot of reasons -- faster, quieter, easier to replace and update. I own a LaCie DVD burner, and a LaCie CD burner -- very happy with both.)
I ordered my mini with extra RAM, airport and bluetooth. Estimated arrival date . . . not soon enough.
(By the way, I burn a ton of DVDs now. With the new iDVD I may burn even more. Thanks Apple!) _________________ Mini arrived 2-11-05. Apple customer since 1982. |

right on the mark! If a new user or someone does not have the money they can always get an external drive later. |

I ordered one with superdrive. FedEx attempted delivery this morning. So, I'll pick it up after work.
I bought a 12" PB 2 years ago without superdrive. I got the SD on the mini because of this. |
