"It was another record quarter for Apple, as the company reported the highest revenue for a calendar first quarter ever, and the highest unit shipments in more than four years. In fact, Apple's unit shipments increased 2.3 per cent from 4Q04 the company's historically strongest quarter. The company benefited from a bleed-over in demand from the holiday quarter, as well as the introduction and upgrade of computer models. One such model, the Mac mini, helped boost Apple's consumer desktop revenue by 92 per cent year-to-year. However, as well as the company's computer business performed, it was again overshadowed by the soaring success of the iPod. "
