|
|
I just received an email from somebody from my blog claiming to know what the Intel iBook's specs will be. I didn't know anybody even read my blog, I just really started it, so I don't know if this guy is making it up or actually knows.
Anyways, he says that it will have a 13.3" widescreen display, with a low voltage, Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz processor, with 512MB of DDR2 RAM. He says that it will ship with Front Row, a 60GB SATA hard drive, a combo drive and include that same onboard GMA950 video card that the Mini now ships with.
Do you think that this guy is just making up a bunch of crap? He claims he knows somebody working on the project. I have it posted up on my blog, what do you think? |

So anyone have any guesses as to when we'll see the intel macs?
My guess is July/Aug, just before the new school year.
I hope sooner because I want a G4 iBook. I'm poor! _________________ 20" iMac G5 2.0 |

| If we gotta go with integrated graphics I hope they'll AT LEAST use the 128mb version of the 950. |

| These sound right to me. Originally, I thought the iBook would be solo only, so as not to compete with the MacBook Pro. Since the Mactel Mini came out with solo and duo models, it makes sense that the iBook would be the same; just a portable Mac Mini. The specs will always fall short of the Pro, however. |

Well yeah, the pro model is for pro users while the ibook (macbook) will be for consumer users. _________________ Mac Mini, 1.25 Ghz, 40Gb, 512, combo drive. Imac G4, 1 Ghz, 80Gb, 768, Super Drive.
