I've decided to order a mini after the 29th when Tiger comes pre-installed. There are threads talking about video but what about audio! How does the mini sound? Any unusual sounds, hiss or hum come out of the soundcard?

My Mac Mini sounds great,
clear, loud, enough noise to awaken the neighbours but then my family reckon I am deef as a post as well as visually hampered LOL.

I can only see Mac and those PC's I dont like looking at them, and I thought PC's made too much noise to listen to music on them LOL
Them little round things in this picture, seem to satisfy my poor hearing, when the sound comes (A good Scottish Bagpipe march) out they make enough loudness to awaken them all.

some internal interference from ethernet, and some from the internal drive. you might not hear it when listening to mp3s or playing games, but when the mac audio is idling you can hear it. it's a pretty cheap codec with poor internal isolation.

if you want decent audio you'll want an external firewire or usb device. there's no audio-input on the mac mini either.
