I GOT FRONT ROW RUNNING ON MY MINI!!! i'll post the links that helped me out later, im on a different comp right now, but it is amazing! Not slow or anything. The hacked front row i used doesnt check for an apple remote at start up, and you can press 'esc' to get it running if front row is selected.. you can also control it via a BT cellphone... there's an article on TUAW and digg _________________ Computational Media Major Student @ Georgia Tech

one question.. Is there any way to get front row to see a different folder on the hard drive instead of the standard movie one. I have all my files on a separate hard drive connected by firewire.
cheers in advance |

Just create a shortcut inside of your movies folder to the one on your external drive. It means you have to go one extra step in the folder structure in Front Row, but it will work. Let me know if you need any help getting it setup. |

I've put FR on my Mini overall it works well a little bit slow when it's try to preview the videos but overall it works well to bring up vids. I have some questions thou.
I've created aliases to my other drives and FR shows the available files but it seems to be showing me some video files in the root which are not there. When I go into movies I have to go down to another subdirectory and it's showing me files that are not in the root of that drive but within a subdirectory of that drive. Are there viewing quicks in FR?
Also is there anyway to get different views other than List view on the vids? Can you use Graphics to display movie covers etc... |

The only thing I've been able to do is change the background and icons. I don't think you're going to find a way to do this. I know you can change the poster frame for videos in iTunes, but it doesn't affect Front Row. It might change where the sample loop begins. I've never really looked into it. |
