Hey Everyone,
I'm a long time lurker finally with a question of my own. I have an 80 GB Mac Mini and a 160 GB Lacie d2 external drive. My external drive has over 100 GB of music on it.
I am wondering how I can play this music on Itunes without copying it to the mini. Itunes help says I can do it. Just wondering how this is possible.
I would eventually like to purchase a Lacie companion 250 to use along with my mini if this works out.
Thanks for your help,

Change your Library to the folder on the external disk. Then, import.
I the same w/ my ext 200GB Maxtor OneTouch. _________________ Mini 1.83 C2D 2GB/80GB/Combo, 10.5

| How do you find your Lacie d2? I quite like the look of them but read mixed reviews. It's fanless, right? Do you use it as your boot drive? |

| I also have the Lacie d2 250 GB HD. I like it, but I basically use it just to back up with. It is not too noisey, but you do know when it is on and spinning. Not sure about a fan, but you do hear the drive. Since it is FW I was curious as to weather it was faster to boot or run from, so I tried it. For how I use it, I didn't notice any difference in boot speed or in practical useage from the 4200 RPM int. |
