CinnaRack for Mac mini
Friday February 10, 2006
Cinnamon Peripherals has unveiled the CinnaRack for Mac mini. This new anodized aluminium mount was designed to hold your Mac mini underneath a desk or shelf, while providing maximum airflow.
According to the company, "The Mac mini is one of the smallest computer desktop ever made, but you can reclaim even more desktop space by mounting your Mac mini under your desk or under a shelf!
The CinnaRack for Mac mini is designed to allow maximum airflow for the Mac mini. If your computer is hanging in the air, why limit its air intakes to the sides, like on a desk?
This is a limited edition, production protype. It lacks the ability to connect to our future accessories but is available at a special discount price. It's also the only Cinnamon Peripheral that will ever have our complete company name silkscreened on it. Grab a piece of history!
The CinnaRack for Mac mini production prototype is made from anodized aluminium to closely match the look of the Mac mini."
The CinnaRack is shipping now, and priced at CAD $30 (US $26).

Not that I'm eager to buy one of these as I think I like the Mac Mini exposed, but I must say, this kind of pricesetting is GOOD!
What I am looking for is a kind of glass or plexiglass rack of somewhat more than the dimensions of a mini in which you can put your mini and external micronet/or one of these many copies and an extra periferal, like an external DVD-RW. If someone designs it right, one would no have to worry about airflow, it is close to each other so looks good without overheating. But I am NOT an producer, merely have ideas... _________________ ___________________Jim©

Thanks for the positive comment! And aside from the glass/plexiglass feature, keep an eye out for our future products, we may already have something planned that you're gonna like! |

Small detail: $30 CAD, not $30 US!
Edit: main news has been updated to reflect the correct price.

That's a giveaway! How come it's not mentioned in the total list of MM accessories? _________________ ___________________Jim©

Well, my company is new and this product was released last week. It's also a production prototype, so the price is a bit lower than the actual production models will be. The production model, however, will also have an extra feature.
The ordering form for the production prototypes is now online. |

I think this one looks better than the plastic ones. Now, if Apple would only come out with the new mini. |

Thanks for the comment, Weee. As for the new Mac mini, I hope Apple gives us a "Mac mini Pro" (dual-core, X1600/128MB, 3.5" drive). I don't mind if it's twice as high as long as it stays 6.5" x 6.5".
What I want is basically the entry model of the iMac, Mac mini-style.

| Where in Canada is the company located? Not that it matters for mail order. But being that I am Canadian, I am curious. |

The company is located in Trois-Rivieres, between Quebec (city) and Montreal. |
