I have the new iMac and I wanted to know what cleaning products that you use to clean the screen. The cleaning cloth that came with the machine is ok for dust, but anything more it's no good.

Cheers

Tim

Having noticed the fingermarks and smears on my MacBook screen this morning, I'd like to see the answer to this one as well! Smile

I use a lens cloth. I lightly dampen it if the spots are stubborn. I figure if a lens cloth is good enough for my Zeiss lenses it will be gentle enough for an LCD. I never use any cleaners other than a little H2O.

I use Weiman e-tronic wipes. They work well, I use them on my displays, iPods, keyboards, TVs etc.

a Swiffer duster is good for the dust, but these clean the smudges and gunk.

I bought a bottle of iKlear at least 5 or 6 years ago, and it's lasted a LONG time. I use it with a microfiber rag, and clean all my Macs, my LCD TV, and a few other delicate things around the house. Make sure you spray on the rag first, then wipe down the machine. If you spray on the machine it could possibly drip inside something, and cause issues.

The water and Apple cloth did the trick.
