|
|
OK, my wife just surprised me with a iPod Nano 4GB for my Birthday (excelllent "spouse points" for that one....).
We have a MacMini at home with iTunes and about 6 GB of files and Podcasts.
I also have a Dell Laptop running WinXP-Pro that I travel with for work.
My goal would be to use my MacMini as the primary iTunes library for the nano, and only use the Dell for recharging the nano and downloading podcasts when I'm on the road.
So my questions are as follows (feel free to point me to the right Apple support pages) -
1.) Can a nano swap back-and-forth between WinXP and Mac configurations?
2.) What is the correct way to configure that?
3.) I've heard that the compression on Windows is not as good as on Mac, will that impact me if all I am using the WinXP for is Podcasts and recharging?
Thanks in advance for the help!! |

To use it w/both a Mac and a Windows machine you need to first set it up for use on the Windows machine. You will also need to make sure that you do not use automatic syncing on either machine.

No, that should not impact you at all as the Podcasts are already compressed when you download them.
Hope that helps. |
