I had gone mac-rumors (mac mini section) and asked and got the arrogant reply "I think they closed that site two years ago" Dweebs.

Glad it's back

Glad to see it back. I do not post a lot but still visit and read all your post, 123macmini have been a great source of information all these years.
I never understood why some spammers can harass us here with their posting...

My C2D mini HDD died, so I switched over to the i5 mini. Just going through old emails setting up more filters, and I found a "New Private Message Has Arrived" email from years ago, so not expecting much I clicked on the link.

WOW! Glad it's back up!

Maybe we should start PMing peeps to let them know it's back?

A lot of the Spam is computer generated and not posted directly by an individual.

I only have a chance to look at this site once in a while these days because I am so busy with work and other matters going on outside of work.

Yep, another semi-frequent viewer but very rare poster. I thought the site finally met it's demise. Glad to see it back. Cool

I think quite a few, mac forums, are having a hard time with not as many posts as in the old days (5 years ago), those were different days.

Things are so buy a totally built system and then throw it away in 2-3 years, or recycle it.

The good ole days where you can mod your mac seems to be getting thinner and thinner... in a hundred years we will all probably have terminals, and boot quick terminals, to do some processing job and then destroy it. Computers will be like an aluminum 6-pack of soda cans... in a 100 years from now...use it destroy it and then do something back in the physical world that doesn't really have any thing to do with using a computer for work and so on... will just have our main chip and pair of glasses or contacts or implants. And be street peddlers haha yep blade runner!!

As far long lasting Minis is concerned, my 2006 1.66 core dual is still in constant service in a theater setting running the lighting and audio.

My 2009 2.53 core 2 duo is still in daily use at home, upgraded to 8 gigs memory and a 500 gig hard drive.

Both are running well. Doth have been taken apart and cleaned a couple of times too, as the dust and dirt does collect.
