My email is taking a long time to send 5-10 minutes -and it never did that before --my version is 4.5

my mini is a 2006 --2gh 4 g memory 120 hd

I called Verizon (fios) and it looks like all the settings are right

my computer can get mail no problem

Wrong again, as usual.

Flash player 16,0,0,257 is working just fine on my MBP running Snow leopard 10.6.8. and Safari 5.1.10

I recently got fed up with the continual need to keep updating Flash so I've now removed it from all my systems.
I did used to need flash on a couple of sites using Safari, such as Youtube, BBC News and Sport etc but Google Chrome handles them fine without the need to have Flash installed.

This is not what you are understanding.

Mail in snow leopard has been made obsolete by mail in 10.7 10.8 10.9 10.10 because there was a change in how e-mail clients access e-mail through pop and imap which snow leopard doesn't support these new options there is a fix though easy.

Install thunderbird e-mail from firefox.

It does however support the new protocols for mail.
