I have a problem with my mac. Whenever I am in Firefox I get a lot of spinning beach balls. This carries over to other activities like opening other applications. Even when I close Firefox, I get the spinning ball.

I have 500 GB HD with 160 free.

I am thinking of upgrading to Mavericks but first I thought I would clean up my stuff - cache etc.

Any thoughts on the clean up program and upgrading. My mini meets the requirements for Mavericks.

What model mini do you have? How much RAM do you have installed?

Use Opera or Chrome for browser, much faster, no beach balls..

I use Ccleaner.

A program that is advertised by popovers/popunders/spam can never be good.
