LG external dvd writer
I have medium error on almost every time i try to burn a dvd (dat or video)
I tried to burn with toast titanium 11.2 I tried to burn with the OS burn to disc option I tried to change the media I use (verbatim ' silver line etc..) but nothing helps..
Is there any known issue about my problem?

Thanks for your reply.
Is it a known issue with the mini?
Is it a Mavericks thing? Apple?
We all know cds & dvds are slow but they are still in use...

I can burn on my Windos machine with no problem, but with my Mac using BURN, I get the same thing, but it does work if you lower the burn rate. I just hunk it's a Mavericks problem..

Does the Apple USB Superdrive puts an end to all Mac Mini/10.9 burning Errors?

No Let me explain this issue to you!!!

Burn is designed for mac os x snow leopard not mavericks burn is not setup to run with the new lg and liteon drives that are found in the mini and even in the external macbook air there is a solution though that works easy!!!!

To burn a DVD (A Legit Non Copyrighted DVD)

Create a new disk image using disk utility give it the correct size for your dvd 4.7 gigs to 8.0 gigs for a dual layer make sure it is set to cd/dvd master once created open the new created image now copy the video_ts and audio_ts to the disk image then close and eject the disk image now go back to disk utility and select the image with disk in drive to burn to then press burn on disk utility.

simple as pie..

Well maybe not Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
