Hi there,

Basically i have 2 mac minis one brand new one spec up to over 1000 and a stock 2009 with a disc drive.

I would love to integrate the 2, but i am unsure of what means i can do this?

I would basically like to use one monitor for them both and use the old mac as a filter so i get no unwanted files on my new mac mini!!

Also i would like the potential to use the 2009 mac mini disc drive as well.

Hopefully there is someone out there that could advise me on the best way to integrate the 2.

I have been told make the old mac mini a target drive which basically acts like an external HDD, but is there a more advanced and better way to integrate the 2.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks again

OSX has Migration Assistant, works great, but it took 3 hours to transfer all files on mine..

Is there anyway i can still use the mac for the space and as a filter so i can down load onto the old mac and transfer what i want onto the new one??

Is target disc mode the best thing to do?

The majority of stuff i want is already on external usb 3 HDD!
