Is there a way to connect 2 monitor with 2560x1440 resolution on 2012 Mac Mini?
Using Gefen mini displayport to display port cable to thunderbolt connection for Asus PB278Q but when connecting 2nd Asus PB278Q to hdmi I only getting 1080p.

Any suggestions for connecting second monitor at 2560x1440?
I am to do this on Nvidia GTX660 video card in pc but not the Mac Mini...
btw giving the pc I built 3 years ago to my daughter

HDMI only supports 1920x1200.

The 2012 Mac mini only supports two displays at a time. One with HDMI @ 1920x1200 and the second through Thunderbolt @ 2560x1600. You can also use two Thunderbolt displays daisy-chained @ 2560x1600. You cannot even daisy-chain two displays like the Dell U2713H with DP because Thunderbolt 1 only supports DP1.1. It takes DP1.2 in Thunderbolt 2 for daisy-chaining them.

Thanks Grasshopper...guess I have to look into 13" MacBook Pro Retina to have 2- Thunderbolt 2 connections in order to use both Asus PB278Q monitors. Just not fond of having all connections from side of computer, not as neat as plugging in behind the Mac Mini.
