Hello again,

I have a MM1.1 which originally had Tiger installed, I bought the SL install DVD from Apple and upgraded to SL with no issues. Recently I bought an SSD to speed up things, but it seems to be a bit slow. I basically did a clone of my original HD onto the SSD, is there something i missed along the way?
Can i simply wipe my MM's SSD and start again with the SL disc or will i have to revert to Tiger THEN do the upgrade to SL? Another thing, my wife saves all her school files to the desktop- i'm sure this slows things up also?? help!
Thank you in advance of this.

If your computer will boot from the SL DVD then you can do a clean install without the Tiger step.
Just make sure you have all your and your wife's important files saved somewhere, as a clean install will wipe your SSD.
