I've been trying to get my hands on an entry level 2012 Mac mini for the last couple days. When is the last time these have been available? Could the inventory be drying up? They always just seem to have the Mac mini servers or higher end models now. Sad

Inventory comes and goes. At one point, which was right after my tax return arrived and I could buy one, they disappeared for a while. I picked up a better deal, but they came back after a month I think it was.

Several showed up on the Canadian refurbs this afternoon.
I snagged the one I'd been waiting for, (i5 with 8GB mem).

Thanks for the replies. They have some 2011 models in the store now. I would still like to have the base 2012 model with USB 3.0 for $519 though. Just because two of my external drives are newer with it included. Guess that I'll just have to wait patiently. Does anyone know of an app or website that alerts when refurbs come back in stock?

My mini arrived today, got a free bonus, it has 16GB memory.
Gotta love these refurbs that come with unexpected extras.

I hope mine comes like that too. I wonder how they do though? Don't they test an verify the systems when they get them back?

I've read about many refurb bonus's on the web.
Everything from extra memory to upgraded HDD's, even SSD's.
It seems that as long as they meet the original sale specs Apple leaves them with what is in them when returned.

Well, that's fine with me. I would be more than happy with a SSD and 16 of RAM. Smile

Guess I'll find out next week. It's to be here on Wednesday.

I had some trouble getting one last time. Now it seems like they come in waves. They either have a bunch of different configurations or nothing. It also seems like the server models are available more frequently now.
