Is it possible to use a touchscreen LCD like the T232HL from Acer with a Mac mini? I know the display will work, but will the touchscreen functional work? If not, are there any HD (1920 x 1080) displays over 21" that will?

You would need a compatible driver either from the display maker or a third party. I think there are some of these drivers out there, but you would have to Google it. I also remember reading something about some of them being pretty expensive.

The good : The Acer T232HL is currently supported by the Touch-Base drivers.

The bad: A single-user license will cost you almost $220.

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't sound very promising then unless you have a working driver for OS X. I wonder why there aren't more display manufactures interested in doing this?

WARNING:
Sarcasm ahead.....

Probably because my keyboard and mouse work just fine....

Seriously, I understand touch screens on tablets and phones but, I don't see a real use for it on my laptop or desktop.... Just my thoughts....

Well, most Apple systems include a built-in screen (MacBooks and iMac). They truly only make two headless systems (Mac mini and Mac Pro). So, that probably doesn't help the cause.
