I'm about ready to order up a Mac mini for Plex and media center purposes. And I have a quick question if you don't mind. Is it possible to output HBOGO with Safari and AirPlay to an Apple TV in our bedroom? We already have the Apple TV, but I have no experience with Safari in either OS X or Windows. I would also be interested in hearing about the video quality and audio staying in sync.

Yes. You can fire up the video in Safari and then use the screen sharing function for AirPlay in Mountain Lion. It works rather well too.

According to ML Airplay requirements, it had to be a 2011 or later Mac Mini, so I guess that is why mine does not work on my Mac Mini.

Yeah, I was in the same boat with a 2010 Mac mini. You can use something called AirParrot to gain that functionality though. It works well too. The only drawback is that it isn't free. You'll have to shell out ten bucks. I do think it's worth it though. And again, it works really well.
