Guys,

I'm looking at getting 2 x 1GB can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Am I thinking this will be minimum requirements for me to install OS 10.6 ?

Snow Leopard only requires 1GB of memory, but I would definitely go with 2GB. You be much happier with the performance if you plan on working with multiple apps or browser tabs open at the same time.

As for the memory itself, you just need 2 x 1.0GB PC5300 DDR2 667MHz 200 Pin. Such as this set from OWC.

When I install the ram do I have to change any settings etc or is it plug an play

No settings need to be changed. Just plug it in.
