Apple today released the iPhoto 9.4.3 update via their Software Update utility and website for direct download. According to the company, this update includes the following improvements:

- Photos can now be deleted from My Photo Stream by dragging to the Trash.
- Photos can now be exported from Photo Stream using the Export command in the File menu.
- RAW images manually imported from My Photo Stream are now editable.
- Fixes a bug that could cause manually-rotated photos to appear unrotated when shared to Photo Stream.
- Addresses an issue that could cause iPhoto to quit unexpectedly while syncing to Facebook.
- Resolves an issue that could cause calendar text to appear at the wrong font size, resulting in order cancellation.
- Fixes an issue that could cause books to have an incorrect number of pages after rearranging two-page spreads.
- Includes stability improvements.

The iPhoto 9.4.3 update weighs in at 731MB and requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later.

Liking the Photo Stream improvements. I hope Apple keeps them coming for Aperture as well.

There are a lot of people out there that are wanting a new version of iPhoto.

I like the free updates. These are features, not just bug fixes. I could care less about the version number.

I'm wondering if the days of major updates to iLife and iWork are done. Meaning no major updates through the Mac App Store for purchase. I'm thinking we are just going to see these incremental updates all the time. The Mac apps will be treated like iOS apps. Which is basically fine with me. I just don't want to see them ignored for extended periods.

We should be thankful cause I think Apple might be overextended again. I recently read something (forget where) about resources being pulled from the Mac team to the iOS team. As they are hard at work and behind on iOS 7. Therefore, I don't see any major updates coming out for iWork or iLife. It's probably just going to be these small updates adding features for iOS and iCloud. Or simply improving compatibility and squashing bugs.
