|
|
I'm thinking about getting another Mini to act as a HTPC. I currently have an i7 2012 mini for my main PC, but I want to dedicate one strictly for a media server. I have a 4TB raid that will be attached and the Mini will connect to my new Panasonic Plasma.
I'm going to hook up my existing mini to the TV to make sure every works correctly before buying a new one.
My question is since I'm not going to do anything fancy on it, should I just buy the low end i5 vs the i7? |

You should be able to use any Intel mini that is at least a Core2Duo, and at least 2 GHz.
One with a built in HDMI port would be better than one without.
