| I'm thinking about buying a Thunderbolt display, but want to hold off until they upgrade the display to USB 3.0. Anyone here have thoughts on this? It does seem like a logical upgrade to the display for them to make. |

One thing about this new ThunderBolt phenomenon has me scratching my head. Adoption of this new superfast bus seems to be painfully slow, as if Apple and Intel are waiting for an unforeseen USB 4.0 to overtake ThunderBolt/LightPeak. (???)
There are supposed to be connection hubs and hard drives appearing on the market, but they are elusive and supposedly super-expensive.
Why doesn't someone debut a super-high-quality professional computer monitor, which connects to a Mac via ThunderBolt/LightPeak, and the monitor has a built-in hub for camera card reading, USB 3, FireWire, eSATA, ThunderBolt, etc.? Wouldn't that make sense? Am I missing something here? |

I was waiting for that too but just went ahead and bought one. Bought it at Best Buy though so if they come out with a new one in the next 30 days i can return it _________________ - Hack-a-Mac Mini Intel 2.6 GHz i7, 16GB

I think it's going to happen soon. Apple hasn't been shipping us any inventory of the current model (at my Apple reseller store). |
