I'm guessing his point is that Apple uses various suppliers for RAM. You made an out of the blue comment that Apple uses Samsung and Phil pointed out all of the suppliers he has come across. Why would he joke about Mushkin? I've seen it in a few of my machines, Samsung in several and Hynix in one or two. |

Apple charges what people will pay for it. It seems outrageous, but to pass along warranties, quality, etc. most people charge a premium for relatively inexpensive parts. I've had customer who were on insistent that they get the RAM preloaded and installed at the factory, even though I offered them a more affordable alternative. |

yeah I have had that happen more then once | At least you gave them a honest option. That is a good salesperson in my opinion. Not forcing them with something always . |
